New Frontline Management Competency Standards Announced

The new Frontline Management Competency Standards were explained by Lyndon Shea from Business Services Training Australia at a Frontline Management Network breakfast meeting in Sydney on 9 August. Larry Lucas attended on behalf of the Frontline Management Institute and was delighted by Lyndon’s clear explanations of fairly complicated topics. Thanks go to Brian Williams of FINBUS for organising the breakfast so well, a very valuable resource.

FMI’s New Afternoon Public Seminars

for Certificate IV in Frontline Management

The Frontline Management Institute is pleased to announce the next series of half-day monthly public seminars for Frontline Managers, commencing 7 November 2001. We only have 6 places available for the November seminar at a special introductory price of $245 plus GST so reserve your places before they all go.

This series will provide Frontline Managers with the necessary information and assistance to complete the Certificate IV in Frontline Management.

The afternoon seminar series have proved to be a very convenient and cost effective way of completing Frontline Management qualifications.

Network One works with the NSW Taxi Council preparing for the introduction of new Taxi Industry Regulations

The NSW Department of Transport will be releasing new Regulations affecting the Taxi Industry on 1 September 2001. As part of Network One’s role with the NSW Taxi Council we are currently working closely with the Taxi Council’s Assistant Executive Officer Howard Harrison, to update training programs for both new and experienced taxi drivers and taxi operators to incorporate these changes. Network One and WorkCover’s Anniversary of Team Development Project

It is now a year since Network One ran a workshop to determine action plans for the WorkCover Manufacturing Teams. How time flies! WorkCover Manager Ron Keelty, reports that the teams are working well and a major review of progress is about to take place.

Larry Lucas of Network One facilitated the planning with Ron and his teams for the development of an action plan that would improve work safety through increased emphasis on safety education and targeting specific sectors to increase workplace safety. Network One is proud to support increased safety in the workplace. Congratulations to Ron and his teams for their great work.

 

New Director, Educational Services for FMI

The Frontline Management Institute is delighted to announce the appointment of Michelle Watson as Director, Educational Services for the Frontline Management Institute. Many of our customers will remember the great work Michelle did for Network One on our Sydney Olympics Project, designing Training for 15,000 Transport Volunteers for ORTA. FMI Provides Management Trainers for State Rail

The Frontline Management Institute was delighted to provide trainers for Frontline Managers at State Rail in July.  The groups included a select team of Managers on a Management Development Program lasting one year. 

We were very impressed with the participants and wish them all the best in the future. Thanks to our colleague, Harvey Green, for his help on these projects.

 

Department of Health Program first FMI Graduates awarded Certificates

Our Frontline Management program with the Department of Health is now nearing completion and we would like to congratulate all those who successfully completed the Certificate IV in Frontline Management.  Many thanks to Felicity Waterford who facilitated the program.
