Customer service

Client: Olympic Roads and Traffic Authority

With over 14,500 drivers and other transport and passenger management personnel to be trained for the Sydney 2000 Olympics ORTA engaged Network One to design a series of training programs that could be delivered to help maintain a consistent level of customer service during what is the world’s greatest event. The program is tailored to the specific needs of the Olympic situation.

 

Training video: “wheels within wheels”

Client: NSW Taxi Council

The NSW Taxi Council provides training for drivers of wheelchair accessible taxis across the entire state of NSW. To ensure a consistency in the training this video was developed and produced by Network One for our client. The video is part of the WATS Open Learning Program also developed by Network One.

 

TECHNICAL TRAINING FOR SALES PEOPLE

Client:  AMCOR

AMCOR has developed many technical innovations, which give it a leading edge in the packaging and display market. Working with both technical experts and sales managers and sales staff we identified that a gap may exist in the transmission of these technical innovations to customers. We designed and developed a training program to be delivered in-house by technical managers and specialists for sales teams. This involved the identification of competencies and curriculum and the preparation of manuals, training resources and leaders guides.

 

Policy and Procedural Manuals

Client:  Westpac Bank

Senior Managers in Westpac’s International and Commercial Banks were developing a series of Policy Manuals. Our task was to work with the bank's subject matter experts to ensure the documentation was written with clarity and conciseness. We developed a model approach and format, which we documented. We then coached the managers in using the improved format and style. The improvements in ease of understanding and accessibility of information were well received.

TRAINING STRATEGIC PLAN DEVELOPMENT

Client:  Countrylink

As the provider of rail and coach services throughout NSW Countrylink wanted to ensure that its Training and Development Strategic Plan is aligned with, and supports, its business plan. Network One were commissioned to help facilitate this process by working with Senior Management and the T&D specialist area to ensure that T&D strategies support the business plan over the next year and a half and that there is agreement, commitment and support for the T&D strategic approach from senior management

 

NEGOTIATION SKILLS

Client:  Sydney Water

Sydney Water is increasingly negotiating agreements and contracts with other organisations to provide a range of services. We were invited to design and deliver a pilot program to enable staff to develop sound negotiation skills. Delivered in conjunction with ACU, this program proved so successful that we were asked to repeat it for further groups.

 

PROFESSIONAL WRITING PROGRAM

Client:  MLC Life

MLC Life interacts with customers constantly. In order to ensure that all staff are competent in business letter writing Network One were asked by MLC to write a self directed learning package to promote effective business writing in the workplace.

 

TAXICARE plus

Client:  NSW Taxi Council

A major project involving the identification of new taxi driver competencies, curriculum development, program design, preparation of training manuals and accompanying audio tapes together with evaluation guidelines. This competency-based program is now the standard program used for all Taxi drivers in NSW and has been awarded VETAB accreditation as a Certificate III.

 

TIME MANAGEMENT PROGRAM

Client:  NSW Dept of Mineral Resources

Time Management for Senior and Middle Managers. Significant increases in both time savings and personal effectiveness were recorded following this successful program.

 

BUSINESS INNOVATION & CREATIVE THINKING

Client:  MLC Life

MLC wanted to promote innovation and creative thinking in work Teams.  Network One was commissioned to develop a self directed learning package to develop skills and attitudes in this area.

 

CUSTOMER SUPPORT PROGRAM

Client:  Johnson & Johnson Medical

Network One's specialist Health Division was asked to develop an intensive program for Johnson & Johnson Medical sales staff who give presentations to customers. Video feedback is used to help enhance customer focus. This program has been repeated several times due to its effectiveness. We have also developed a range of educational strategies and resources for this client.

 

CUSTOMER SERVICE STANDARDS

Client:  NEC

Working with Senior Managers, customers and a range of service delivery staff Network One designed a model for customer service standards and facilitated the development of customer service standards in NEC.

In the increasingly competitive environment of staff selection and supply of office personnel CENTACOM wanted to ensure that all staff were focused on providing customer satisfaction and increasing sales.
